How to find the right tire size for your vehicle

Before you visit or call, you need to know what tire size fits your vehicle. This information is printed on the sidewall of your current tire and also appears in your vehicle's owner manual. The size looks like this: 225/65R17. Each number and letter means something specific — the first number is the tire width in millimeters, the second is the aspect ratio (sidewall height as a percentage of width), the R means radial construction, and the last number is the wheel diameter in inches.

You can also find your vehicle's tire size on a sticker inside the driver's door jamb. Once you have the size, you can search Discount Tire's website by entering your vehicle year, make, and model, or by typing the tire size directly into their search bar. This shows you what's in stock at the Owasso location and the price for each option.

Comparing tire options and prices at Discount Tire

Discount Tire stocks tires across a wide range of prices. Budget tires cost less upfront but may wear faster and offer fewer features. Mid-range tires balance cost and durability. Premium tires last longer, perform better in wet or winter conditions, and often come with longer warranties. The right choice depends on how long you plan to keep the vehicle, your local weather, and your budget.

When you search on their website, you can sort results by price, brand, or customer rating. Reading customer reviews on the Discount Tire site or elsewhere can help you understand how a tire performs in real conditions. You can also call the Owasso store and ask a staff member to explain the differences between specific models you're considering.

What to expect when you visit the Owasso location

When you arrive, bring your vehicle keys and proof of ownership or insurance. The staff will confirm your tire size, discuss your options, and answer questions about warranty coverage and services. If you've already chosen a tire online, let them know — they can pull it and have it ready. If you're still deciding, they can show you what's available and help you compare.

Mounting and balancing usually take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how busy the store is. You can wait in the customer area or leave your vehicle and return later. Ask about the total cost upfront, including any fees for mounting, balancing, or disposal of old tires. Some locations offer discounts for purchasing four tires at once or for military, student, or senior status — ask whether the Owasso store participates in any of these programs.

Ordering online and picking up in Owasso

Discount Tire's website lets you order tires online and pick them up at the Owasso location. Search for your tire size, add tires to your cart, and choose the Owasso store as your pickup location. You'll pay online, then schedule a time to come in for mounting and balancing. This approach works well if you want to compare prices across multiple days or if you prefer to pay before you visit.

When you pick up, bring your vehicle and your order confirmation. The staff will mount and balance the tires on your wheels. Pickup appointments usually fill up during busy seasons, so scheduling a few days ahead increases your chances of getting a time that works for you.

Services beyond tire sales

Discount Tire offers more than just new tires. They repair punctures in the tread area of tires, rotate tires to even out wear, balance wheels to reduce vibration, and replace valve stems. Many of these services are included free or at low cost when you purchase tires from them. They also sell wheels, batteries, and other accessories.

If you already own tires and just need a repair or rotation, you can visit without buying new tires. Call the Owasso location to ask about pricing for standalone services and whether you need an appointment or can walk in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy tires online and have them shipped to my home instead of picking up in Owasso?

Discount Tire ships tires to residential addresses, but you'll need to arrange mounting and balancing separately at a local shop or tire retailer. Picking up at the Owasso store and having them mount and balance the tires there is usually more convenient and often costs less overall.

Does Discount Tire offer a warranty on tires?

Most tires come with a manufacturer's warranty covering defects, and Discount Tire often adds their own coverage. The length and terms vary by tire brand and model. Ask the staff or check the product page online for the specific warranty details on the tire you're considering.

What should I do if I have a flat tire and need it repaired quickly?

Call the Owasso location first to confirm they can fit you in. Many tire shops can repair a puncture in 15 to 30 minutes if they're not busy. If the damage is too severe to repair, you may need to buy a replacement tire. Bringing your vehicle in as soon as possible increases the chance the tire can be saved.

Are there other tire shops near the Owasso Discount Tire location?

Yes, Owasso has other tire retailers and automotive shops. If Discount Tire doesn't have your size in stock or their appointment times don't work, you can search online for nearby alternatives. Comparing a few shops by phone can help you find the best price and availability for your needs.
