What services are available at the Carson City store

Beyond tire and wheel sales, the Carson City Discount Tire location performs tire installation, balancing, and mounting. They also handle tire repairs — patching punctures, for example — though not all damage is repairable; sidewall damage or large punctures typically require replacement. The store stocks batteries and can install them, and they carry air pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors and can reprogram them to your vehicle.

Seasonal tire swaps are common in Nevada, and this location can store your off-season tires if you purchase a storage plan. Storage fees vary based on the number of tires and the length of time, so ask about current pricing when you visit or call.

Pricing and how to compare before you visit

Discount Tire's pricing is competitive but not always the lowest in any given market. The Carson City location prices tires based on brand, size, and load rating, and prices can differ from online pricing or pricing at other Discount Tire locations. Before visiting, you can check prices on Discount Tire's website by entering your vehicle's year, make, and model, or by searching by tire size if you know it.

Other tire retailers in Carson City include Costco (if you have a membership), Les Schwab Tire Centers, and independent shops. Comparing the tire brand and model you want across these retailers takes 15 minutes and often reveals price differences of $20 to $60 per tire. Factor in installation costs — Discount Tire's installation fee is typically $15 to $25 per tire depending on the tire type — when you compare total cost.

Online ordering and local pickup

You can order tires on Discount Tire's website and pick them up at the Carson City location within one to three business days. This route lets you lock in a price online before you visit and avoid waiting for inventory. When you pick up, you can pay at the store or have already paid online; installation can happen the same day if the shop has availability, or you can schedule an appointment for a later date.

If you prefer delivery, Discount Tire ships to residential and commercial addresses in Nevada. Shipping costs vary by order size and destination zip code. You can then take the tires to any shop for installation, or arrange installation through Discount Tire's mobile service if available in your area — though mobile installation is not yet offered in all parts of Nevada.

Warranty and return policies

Tires purchased at Discount Tire come with the manufacturer's warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship for a set period — usually three to five years depending on the brand. Discount Tire also offers its own road hazard warranty, which covers damage from punctures, impact breaks, and other road hazards for a fee (typically $10 to $20 per tire). This warranty is optional but worth considering if you drive rough roads or have a long commute.

Discount Tire allows returns within 30 days of purchase if the tires are unused and in original condition. If you have already mounted and driven on the tires, return policies become more restrictive. Ask about the specific return terms when you purchase, especially if you are unsure about the fit or performance.

Scheduling an appointment versus walk-in service

The Carson City location accepts both appointments and walk-ins. During busy seasons — spring and fall, when people switch between all-season and winter tires — wait times for walk-ins can stretch to two or three hours. Scheduling an appointment online or by phone reserves a time slot and typically reduces wait time to 30 minutes or less.

To schedule, visit Discount Tire's website, select the Carson City location, and choose your service type and preferred date and time. You will need to provide your vehicle information and contact details. If you need to reschedule or cancel, you can do so online or by calling the store directly.
